| Pandit Sahajabhatta: |
Born at Srinagar in the Wangoo dynasty of Ganpatyar, Habba Kadal locality of Srinagar, Kashmir. He was married to Smt. Arundatti, popularly known as Aren Ded who belong to Kanikadal, Srinagar, Kashmir. He had three sons namely Pt. Raghav Bhatt Wangoo, Pt. Madhav Bhatt Wangoo and Pt. Damodhar Bhatt Wangoo.
Studied Sanskrit, Persian and Arabic. by the method of self- education.
1890 : Due to his extra-ordinary knowledge of Sanskrit, Arabic and Persian, appointed as the Head, (of newly re-opened ) Translation Department of the Jammu & Kashmir state.
1889 - 1894 : Worked with Aurel Stein and Pandit Govind Kaul in cataloguing 6000 Sanskrit manuscripts of the Maharaja Ranbir Singh Library , Jammu.
1898 : Hindi translation of Kalhana’s Rajatarangini in association with Pandit Govind Kaul. ( incomplete due to the premature death of Pandit Govind Kaul in 1899 ) |

1901 : Assisted Norwegian linguist and scholar Sten Konow in editing the 9th century Sanskrit work named Karapuramanjari by Rajacekhara with commentary by Vasudeva which was published from Oslo, Norway in 1902
1905 : Collected folk- tales for Johannes Hertel. ( edition published under Harward Oriental Series ) Prepared the catalogue of manuscripts collected by Aurel Stein in Kashmir (on slips).
1906 : Prepared Sanskrit text with commentary of Kashmir’s great polyhistor Kshemendra’s Lokaprakasa. Manuscript lying with the Royal Asiatic Society, Paris.
(unpublished). Incomplete critical edition prepared by Jules. Bloch, Ecole des Hauntes, Etudes, Paris.
1911 : Died in December,1911 following a critical illness suffered in April, 1911.
