June 8, 1888

Arrives in Srinagar and meets Dr. Suraj Kaul, the Governor.
   
June 11, 1888 Meets Maharaja Pratap Singh and many Pandits at the Darbar.
   
July 1888 Meets Pandit Govind Kaul.
   
August 1888 Visits the Royal Sanskrit manuscripts library at the Raghunath Temple, Jammu.
   
October 1, 1888 Enjoys his first boat-ride under the seven bridges in Srinagar in company of his Pandit friends.
   
1889 Obtains all the three portions of Codex Archetypus of the Rjatarangini from the sons of Pandit Kesavram with the help of Dr. Suraj Kaul.
   
October 19, 1889 Receives permission to catalogue Sanskrit manuscripts of the Raghunath Temple Library, Jammu.
   
November 1889 Recommends to the State Council for the requisition of Pandit Sahajabhatta and Pandit Govind Kaul to begin catalogue work at the Raghunath Temple Library, Jammu .
   
December 1889 Commences work on the preparation of the catalogue of the Raghunath Temple Library, Jammu.
   
August 13, 1891 Visits the Vangath temple ruins at the behest of Raja Amar Singh.
   
August 23, 1891 Visits the sacred lake Gangabal at the foot of Haramukh peak.
   
August 28, 1891 At Chinar Bagh, Srinagar . Surveyes manuscripts along with Pandit Govind Kaul and also visits the spring of Jeythrir.
   
August 29, 1891 survey's the ruins at Pandrethan, Srinagar.
   
September 3, 1891 Makes study of temple ruins at Panthachowk, Pampor.
   
September 6, 1891 Makes a study of Laddu temple ruins.
   
September 7, 1891 Survey's the temple ruins at the villages at Tral, Bharasu and Khrew .
   
September 18, 1891 Reaches at the Lidder Valley in Pahalgam and survey's the Shiva temple at Mamal.
   
September 22, 1891 Visits the Vishnu temple and Kapteswar spring at Kother.
   
September 24, 1891 Survey's the ruins of Sali temple at Shangasa.
   
September 26, 1891 Reaches Gudar to see the ancient springs of Gautam Nag, Gayatri Nag and Kali Nag.
   
December 9, 1891 Sanskrit edition of the Rajatarangini nears its completion.
   
March 1892 Completes the Sanskrit edition of the Rajatarangini.
   
May 1892 Mourns the death of Pandit Damodar.
   
June 1892 Published.Sanskrit edition of the Rajatarangini is out from press.
